TAJBank Limited, a non-interest bank, recorded a 74 per cent year-on-year increase in Profit Before Tax (PBT), rising to N31.562 billion in the 2025 financial year from N18.166 billion in 2024.
The bank disclosed this in its audited financial statements, with its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Hamid Joda, announcing the results in Abuja on Monday.
TAJBank’s total assets also increased significantly, reaching N1.34 trillion from N953 billion in the previous financial year.
The lender’s total equity rose to N149 billion, representing a 144 per cent increase from N61.250 billion recorded in 2024.
Joda attributed the improved performance to the bank’s prudent financial management and said the strategy had helped strengthen investor confidence.
He assured shareholders that their investments remained secure and would continue to generate sustainable returns.
The bank’s board, at its 2026 virtual Annual General Meeting, approved a dividend of 20 kobo per share for shareholders.
TAJBank Chairman, Tanko Gwamna, said the dividend was approved in recognition of shareholders’ contributions to the bank’s growth.
Executive Director, Sheriff Idi, also thanked shareholders for their confidence in the management and pledged that the bank would continue to prioritise their interests.
TAJBank was recently recognised by regulatory authorities as the largest player in Nigeria’s non-interest banking sector based on total assets and gross earnings in its approved half-year 2025 financial statements.
The bank also secured three International Organisation for Standardisation certifications covering information security, business continuity and IT service management. The certifications are ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000.
