Senator Wadada officially rejoins APC in Nasarawa

The Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Ahmed Wadada, has officially rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Wadada, who was previously a member of the APC, defected to the SDP to contest the Nasarawa West senatorial election in 2023, which he won.

His return was confirmed in a letter signed by the senator on Tuesday in Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and addressed to the APC Chairman, Tudun Kofar Ward, Keffi.

The letter, dated Tuesday and titled “Notification of My Return to the All Progressives Congress,” stated that his decision followed careful consideration and a renewed commitment to the growth, development, and success of the party.

“I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign as a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), effective immediately,” Wadada wrote.

“This decision has not been taken lightly, but I feel compelled to do so due to the lingering internal crisis that has plagued our party for some time.

“As you are aware, these internal conflicts have led to serious divisions and litigations within the party.

“I appreciate the opportunities given to me while being a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and I am grateful for the experiences and relationships built.”
