The Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the Osun State governorship election and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, says the council’s sole mission is to secure victory for the party’s candidate, Munirudeen Oyebamiji, in the 15 August governorship election.
Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the campaign council in Abuja, Uzodimma said members had not been assembled for celebrations but to develop strategies that would ensure the APC’s success at the polls.
“Our plan is to support our brothers and sisters in Osun State to win the forthcoming election. This meeting is not for merrymaking or any jamboree. It is for people to come and render service,” he said.
Uzodimma directed all subcommittees to meet immediately and submit practical proposals to strengthen the party’s campaign, stressing that every activity must be focused on securing electoral victory.
“We have only one mission to win the governorship election in Osun State. Every other matter can wait until after the election. The most important thing is to do whatever is necessary to ensure we win the election convincingly,” he said.

The Imo State governor also directed the finance subcommittee to coordinate voluntary contributions from party members and supporters to support the APC’s campaign.
Meanwhile, the Deputy President of the Senate and Secretary of the Campaign Council, Barau Jibrin, said the council had concluded a productive strategic meeting and expressed confidence that the APC would reclaim Osun State.
He said the meeting was attended by members of the campaign council and its various subcommittees, reaffirming their collective commitment to delivering victory for the APC in the state.
Jibrin expressed confidence that the party’s candidate would emerge victorious, citing what he described as overwhelming support from residents across Osun State’s 30 local government areas.
“With the overwhelming support of the good people of Osun State across all 30 local government areas, we are confident that, by the grace of God, our candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), will emerge victorious,” he said.
