President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, on his first official visit to the state.

The President touched down at the Chinua Achebe International Airport around 12:15 p.m. and was welcomed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Immediately upon arrival, President Tinubu commissioned the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, situated within Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.

During his visit, the President is expected to inaugurate a number of infrastructure projects completed by the Soludo-led administration, including the state’s first-ever Government House—a significant milestone more than three decades after Anambra’s creation.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu will also commission the Solution Fun City, which comprises the Anambra Country Club, Family Fun House, Water Park, and an Amusement Park.

Other highlights of the visit include the commissioning of the Government House Mini City, the Anambra Tower of Light, and the unveiling of a monument featuring statues of five Anambra heroes.

Governor Soludo is expected to host a grand reception in honour of the President before his return to Abuja later in the day.
