Describing Adeniyi as a “towering Iroko in Nigeria’s media landscape,” the monarch lauded his bold commentary and fearless writing, which have consistently given a voice to the voiceless and challenged injustice.
“Through his columns, essays, and public engagements, he has used the media as a platform for justice, conscience, and cultural revival,” the statement noted.
The Ooni further described Adeniyi as a true son of Oduduwa, a champion of Yoruba civilisation, and a beacon of wisdom.
“His life reflects courage, authenticity, and an enduring spiritual commitment to the Yoruba heritage. His legacy is not only preserved in print but lives on in the hearts of those who cherish Yoruba values and identity,” Oba Ogunwusi added.
