The National Universities Commission (NUC) has commenced a nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting applications from qualified Nigerians to fill vacant positions at its Headquarters in Abuja.
The Commission announced job openings across various cadres, including officer, confidential secretary, and clerical/auxiliary staff roles. It said the recruitment is aimed at strengthening its workforce as part of efforts to enhance the regulation and development of university education in Nigeria.

According to the NUC, eligible candidates must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 50. The required qualifications vary depending on the position, ranging from PhD and Master’s degrees for senior officer roles to O’ Level certificates and trade test certifications for technical and clerical positions.

Applications are to be submitted exclusively online through the Commission’s official recruitment portal: http://careers.nuc.edu.ng. Interested candidates have six weeks to complete the application process.
The Commission stressed that the recruitment exercise is free of charge, warning applicants against the use of intermediaries or unauthorised channels. It also stated that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to proceed to the next stage of the selection process.
