Public Advisory

NiMet urged the public to take precautions, noting that strong winds may precede rainfall, particularly in areas prone to thunderstorms. Residents are advised to secure loose objects, avoid driving during heavy rain, and disconnect electrical appliances to prevent damage.

The agency also warned against taking shelter under tall trees during storms and advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather briefings for flight planning.
