Nigeria welcomed the Secretary-General of the Airport Council International for Africa Region (ACI Africa), Mr Ali Tounsi, on an official visit aimed at assessing the country’s preparedness to host the ACI Africa Regional Conference & Exhibition, scheduled for October 2026.
Mr. Tounsi was accompanied by the Managing Director/Chief Executive of FAAN, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire, the Director of Commercial and Business Development, Ms. Adebola Agunbiade, and members of the Local Organising Committee.
Discussions during the visit centred on Nigeria’s readiness, infrastructure plans, and the collaborative efforts required to deliver a world-class conference.
The engagement reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to ensuring the 2026 ACI-Africa Regional Conference is highly successful and impactful, highlighting the country’s growing role in Africa’s aviation and airport development sector.
