The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has received the Institutional Leadership in Risk Advocacy award from the Chartered Risk Management Institute (CRMI).
The Corporation, in a post on its official X handle on Tuesday, quoted the institute as saying that NDIC earned the recognition for its commitment to promoting sound risk management practices within Nigeria’s financial system.

According to NDIC, CRMI commended the agency for its proactive supervision, robust enterprise risk frameworks, and consistent advocacy.
“NDIC continues to demonstrate leadership in safeguarding depositors’ funds and enhancing financial system stability,” CRMI stated.

NDIC further disclosed that its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Thompson Sunday, expressed appreciation to the institute for the honour.
The Corporation added that its Director of the Enterprise Risk Management Department, Mrs. Amal, who represented the CEO, reaffirmed NDIC’s commitment to advancing a strong risk culture.
Sunday also assured that NDIC remained dedicated to contributing to a safer and more sustainable financial sector in the country.
