DSS Seeks Partnership with Nigerian Army to Strengthen Security in Kaduna

The Department of State Services (DSS), Kaduna Command, on Monday expressed its desire to partner with 1 Division of the Nigerian Army to bolster national security.

The State Director of Security, Mr Hakeem Abiola, paid a courtesy visit to the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Maj.-Gen. Abubakar Wase, in Kaduna. Abiola congratulated the GOC on his appointment, noting that the visit was aimed at fostering synergy in tackling insurgency and banditry within the Division’s area of responsibility.

In his response, Wase reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to non-kinetic measures, emphasising collaboration with sister security agencies to sustain peace and security. He also stressed that the Division would continue working closely with the Kaduna State Government to ensure a secure and peaceful environment.

Highlights of the visit included interactive sessions and the presentation of a souvenir.
