The widely praised Nigerian film MAKEMATION will wrap up its theatrical run across the country on 15 May 2025, following a successful three-week engagement that captivated audiences nationwide.
Produced by Rise Interactive Studios and led by Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, the film explores the intersection of artificial intelligence and youth identity in rural Lagos. Since its release, MAKEMATION has been widely praised for its innovative storytelling, cultural relevance, and thought-provoking narrative, positioning it as one of the standout Nigerian films of the year.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the producers announced the final week of the film’s run in Nigeria and unveiled plans for a wider rollout across the African continent, followed by an international release.
