The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has applauded Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for the timely revival of the Kaduna State Ministry of Information.
In a statement, the Minister hailed the move as a significant step, marking the return of the ministry a decade after its dissolution. He noted that the development aligns with his appeal at the National Council on Information meeting in December 2024, where he urged states to prioritise the establishment or revitalisation of information ministries to bolster governance, public engagement, and national cohesion.

Idris further stated that reinstating Kaduna’s Ministry of Information would strengthen collaboration between federal and state information structures, ensuring more effective coordination on key national issues such as security, healthcare, education, and economic reforms.
He also noted that with a functional ministry in place, Kaduna residents would benefit from better access to accurate information on government policies, programmes, and opportunities, promoting inclusivity and active citizen participation in governance.
