The Federal Government has declared Friday, 6th June and Monday, 9th June 2025 as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government, extended congratulations to the Muslim Ummah both within Nigeria and in the diaspora on this auspicious occasion.

He urged the Muslim community to continue to embody the spirit of sacrifice and faith as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him) and to use this period to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

The Minister further assured Nigerians that the people-centred reforms and initiatives being implemented under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are aimed at restoring Nigeria’s progress.

While wishing the Muslim Ummah a joyful Eid-ul-Adha, the Minister called on all Nigerians to unite with the current administration in its efforts to restore Nigeria’s stature as a great nation.
