The Commissioner of Police, Niger Command, Adamu Elleman, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad .
This was stated in a press release by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, on Friday in Minna.
According to him, the celebration serves as a reminder of the Prophet’s exemplary life, marked by love, humility, sacrifice, and dedication to the service of humanity.
The Commissioner urged Muslim faithful, as well as all residents of Niger, to imbibe the Prophet’s teachings, which embody values of peace, sacrifice, tolerance, respect for one another, and harmonious coexistence.
He prayed that the occasion would further strengthen the collective commitment to peacebuilding, unity, and the growth and development of the nation.

Elleman reassured residents of the command’s focus and commitment to protecting lives and property, as well as maintaining law and order before, during, and after the celebrations.
The Commissioner has directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers to deploy personnel and provide adequate security for a peaceful observance.
He, however, enjoined the public to celebrate responsibly, remain law-abiding and vigilant, and report any suspicious activity or criminal acts to the police for immediate intervention.
