Nigerian music superstars Davido and Asa are set to headline the opening ceremony of the 22nd National Sports Festival, tagged the ‘Gateway Games 2024,’ in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, 18 May, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, promises an electrifying blend of cultural displays and live music performances, with Asa slated to kick off the festivities and Davido closing the evening’s entertainment.
Bukola Olopade, Director-General of the National Sports Commission and Chairman of the Main Organising Committee, confirmed the star-studded lineup, emphasising the organisers’ aim to emulate the grandeur of the Olympics through world-class organisation and competition.
