Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Olakunle Churchill, has debunked widespread rumours of a marital crisis with his wife, actress Rosy Meurer. The social entrepreneur took to Instagram to address the speculation, criticising those who spread unfounded reports about his private life.
In a strongly worded post shared on his verified Instagram page, Churchill condemned those who fabricate stories in the absence of news, stating that such behaviour reflects a toxic aspect of public discourse.
“When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire. When they hear nothing about you, they make things up,” he wrote.
Churchill, who has often been the subject of media attention due to his high-profile relationships, used the opportunity to stress the importance of personal focus and growth over public opinion.
“Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself… the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you,” he added, urging his followers to rise above negativity and false narratives.
The denial comes amid rumours, circulated by a popular gossip blog, alleging issues of infidelity and domestic unrest in the couple’s home. However, Churchill’s calm and philosophical response appears aimed at quelling the speculation without resorting to direct confrontation.
In a separate statement on his Instagram Stories, Churchill advised the public to respect people’s private lives, particularly where relationships are concerned.
“Let those in love decide for themselves. Everyone deserves happiness, and we all walk different paths to find it,” he wrote.
Churchill and Rosy Meurer tied the knot in 2019 and have since welcomed a son together. Despite enduring constant public scrutiny especially following Churchill’s previous marriage to actress Tonto Dikeh the couple has often shared positive moments on social media, portraying a united front.

With his latest comments, Churchill appears to be drawing a line under the recent rumours while reaffirming his commitment to his family and personal values.
