Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has released her third studio album, Starr Girl, featuring collaborations with several prominent artistes from Nigeria and abroad.
The 16-track project brings together the Mavin Records star with Wizkid, Rema, Kwn, Theodora and American singer Leon Thomas.
Wizkid features on Gimme Dat, while Rema joins Ayra Starr on Who’s Dat Girl. Other collaborations include Kwn on Amazing, Theodora on Ms Paper and Leon Thomas on Pressure.
The album also contains previously released songs, including Tornado, Hot Body, Where Do We Go, Letter To God and Misunderstood.
Starr Girl follows Ayra Starr’s second studio album, The Year I Turned 21, released two years ago, and her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, which came out three years ago.
The singer has established herself as one of Afrobeats’ leading young artistes, with international hits such as Rush and Commas.
The new project further highlights her evolving musical style and ambition to strengthen her presence on the global music scene.
