The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has suspended Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe indefinitely following allegations that she physically assaulted a crew member during a film shoot.
According to reports, Igwe allegedly slapped a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) on set, prompting swift disciplinary action from the AGN leadership.
In a formal statement issued to its national and state chapter chairmen, the AGN announced Igwe’s suspension, citing “violence and indiscipline actions capable of discrediting the acting profession” as the reason.
