Ahmed Tijani Galadima has emerged as the winner of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Galadima was declared the winner on Friday by the APC electoral committee that supervised the exercise in the state after polling the highest number of votes cast by delegates.
The primary election was conducted peacefully across the state amid tight security.
Speaking shortly after his emergence, Galadima appreciated party delegates and supporters for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work towards strengthening the APC and delivering good governance if elected governor in 2027.

He also called on other aspirants and party members to unite and work together in the interest of the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The APC governorship candidate further commended the leadership of the party for ensuring a peaceful and credible primary election process.
According to him, the outcome of the primary demonstrated the commitment of the APC to internal democracy, justice and service to the people.
Galadima’s emergence followed the withdrawal of some aspirants from the race in support of his candidacy, as the party moved to consolidate its chances ahead of the governorship contest in 2027.
