Gombe Governor Launches APC Digital Membership Registration Exercise

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has officially launched the All Progressives Congress (APC) digital membership registration and revalidation exercise in the state, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen the party’s structure and boost its electoral prospects.

The governor inaugurated the exercise after renewing his own membership at the APC State Secretariat, where he was registered by the party’s agent from Jekadafari Ward, Ukasha Hussaini, in the presence of the ward chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Dan Gombe, and other party officials.

Governor Yahaya hailed the digital registration system as a landmark innovation, stating that it would provide an accurate account of the APC’s membership nationwide.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party’s national leadership for introducing the system, noting that members would need their National Identity card, voter card, and APC membership card to complete the process. He said these requirements would enhance transparency, credibility, and ensure genuine membership mobilisation.

The governor urged APC members and supporters across Gombe State to participate fully and obtain digital certification as recognised party members, assuring that arrangements had been made for a smooth, inclusive and seamless exercise across the state.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment to good governance and sustainable development, Governor Yahaya highlighted the APC-led administration’s achievements in transforming Gombe State’s socio-economic and infrastructural landscape.

“Our guiding principle is to improve conditions beyond what we inherited. Anyone in doubt only needs to reflect on the state of Gombe as we met it about seven years ago to appreciate how far we have come,” Governor Yahaya said.

He acknowledged that these achievements were possible thanks to the support of the APC and the people of Gombe State, describing the party as deeply rooted in the state’s political landscape. He pledged to continue providing purposeful leadership aimed at securing even greater electoral successes.

Governor Yahaya added that the digital registration and revalidation exercise would further enhance the APC’s capacity to contest and win elections at all levels, while warning that the leadership would sanction any members attempting to disrupt the party’s unity or stability.

The Gombe State APC Chairman, Mr Nitte Amangal, said the e-registration and validation process was intended to strengthen the party’s membership base and improve organisational efficiency ahead of the 2027 general election.

He noted that the governor’s active participation signalled the commencement of the registration across the state and called on all party members to engage actively in the exercise.
