The Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF) has announced the death of its president, Ifedayo Akindoju.
The federation confirmed the development in a post on its official X account on Friday.

“It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the Nigeria Tennis Federation announces the passing of our President, Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju, who left us on Thursday,” the statement read.
The NTF described Akindoju as a dedicated leader who served the sport with passion and vision.
“His leadership left an indelible mark on the growth and development of tennis in Nigeria,” it added.
The federation noted that Akindoju’s commitment to players, coaches, officials, and the wider tennis community will not be forgotten.
It also extended condolences to his family, friends, and the tennis community in Nigeria and abroad.
