The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of Shooting Stars Sports Club’s Assistant Coach, Akin Olowookere, describing it as devastating and untimely.
This was stated in a message by its Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, made available to newsmen on Monday in Ibadan.
Olowookere reportedly collapsed and died on the pitch early on Monday morning during a training session at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, causing great sorrow within the football community.
The APC said the tragedy was a huge loss to Olowookere’s family, 3SC, and the global football community.

The party recalled Olowookere’s enthusiasm and passion after joining the new coaching staff of the Oluyole Warriors, noting his expected role in transforming the team’s fortunes after 26 years of disappointing performances.
The APC extended heartfelt condolences to Olowookere’s family, the management and staff of 3SC, and supporters worldwide.
The party prayed for God’s comfort and strength for all mourning the irreparable loss of the talented coach.
