The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has announced that 15 projects executed by the FCT Administration will be inaugurated as part of activities to commemorate President Bola Tinubu’s second anniversary in office.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Mr Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communication and Social Media.
According to Olayinka, the projects form part of the resolutions reached at the 14th Executive Committee meeting of the FCT Administration, presided over by the minister.
He noted that the inauguration of the projects will commence on 10 June and will span a period of 19 days.
Among the projects to be commissioned are the rehabilitated Abuja International Conference Centre, Kugbo and Mabushi Bus Terminals, and the Apo–Wassa Road.
Others include the N16 Interchange and road network linking Maitama, Katampe, and Jahi Districts via Gishiri village, as well as the Inner Northern Expressway from Idu (Ring Road III) to Dei Dei.
Also scheduled for commissioning are the CN8 road, stretching from Obafemi Awolowo Way (N5) to the Court of Appeal, and the N20 Flyover connecting Wole Soyinka Way with the Murtala Mohammed Expressway (Kubwa Road).

Olayinka further listed additional projects such as the extension of Obafemi Awolowo Way from Life Junction to Ring Road III, the Kabulsa–Takushara access road, Kabusa–Ketti access road, and an access road within Giri District.
He also identified one of the road projects within the area councils to be inaugurated: a 15-kilometre road from the A2 Junction (Abuja–Lokoja Expressway) to Pai in Kwali Area Council.
Additionally, the dual carriageway from Ushafa to the War College and Army Checkpoint in Bwari Area Council is also among the projects slated for commissioning.
