No fewer than eight million Nigerians are expected to benefit from the Renewed Hope Empowerment Scheme across all political wards in the country.
Renewed Hope Empowerment SchemeSpecial Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, disclosed this during a Citizens’ Engagement event with the people of Enugu State on Thursday in Enugu.
A Federal Government delegation, led by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, is undertaking a three-day citizens’ engagement and inspection tour of projects in Enugu and Ebonyi States.
According to report, the essence of the tour is to interact directly with citizens and to showcase ongoing projects under the administration of President Bola Tinubu in the South-East region.

Speaking at the event, Onanuga stated that President Tinubu is determined to make at least eight million Nigerians prosperous through the empowerment initiative.
“The programme is designed to address poverty at the ward level across the country,” he said.
“We have over 8,000 wards in the country. If you multiply 1,000 beneficiaries in each ward, it will amount to eight million Nigerians.
“The programme will empower the targeted people with different types of entrepreneurship skills and opportunities to create wealth for themselves and their families.
“The programme will soon start, and we are sure it will go a long way to create wealth for the beneficiaries, with a value chain effect,” Onanuga added.
He commended the people of Enugu for turning out in large numbers to engage with the Federal Government team.
The President’s spokesman also urged continued support for the administration, emphasising that President Tinubu remains committed to empowering Nigerians and improving their well-being.
