President Tinubu has praised the recognition of Ms. Damilola Ogunbiyi, the Chief Executive Officer and Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All, by Forbes Magazine.
The President described the honour as a testament to Ms. Ogunbiyi’s exceptional leadership and Nigeria’s growing influence in the global effort to promote sustainable development.
Ms. Ogunbiyi is the only Nigerian featured on the Forbes Sustainability Leaders 2025 list, which highlights 50 global figures at the forefront of climate action.

President Tinubu further highlighted her pivotal role in leading the UN Energy Compacts and the Mission 300 partnership, which aims to provide electricity to 300 million Africans by 2030. These initiatives showcase Nigeria’s ongoing commitment to the global climate and energy agenda.
