The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream One Orientation Course will begin nationwide on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
A statement from the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, confirmed that the exercise will take place at all 37 NYSC orientation camps across the country.
Registration for Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) is scheduled to open on Wednesday, 21 January, and will close at midnight on Friday, 23 January 2026.

“The Swearing-in Ceremony for corps members will hold on Friday, 23 January 2026, and the Orientation Course will conclude with a Closing Ceremony on Tuesday, 10 February 2026,” the statement added.
The NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, wished all Prospective Corps Members safe journeys to their deployment states and advised them to avoid travelling at night.
