The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has refuted recent online claims suggesting that payments are currently being disbursed to programme beneficiaries, describing the reports as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, 18 June, and signed by the agency’s National Coordinator and CEO, Assoc. Prof. Badamasi Lawal, NSIPA firmly denied any ongoing payment activities, stressing that the unauthorised post circulating online should be ignored in its entirety.
“We wish to categorically state that this information is entirely false, deceptive, and should be disregarded in its entirety,” the statement read.
The agency condemned the dissemination of such misinformation, warning that it not only misleads the public but also threatens the credibility of the agency’s work.

“For the avoidance of doubt, NSIPA does not facilitate or announce payment disbursements via Facebook or any unofficial social media platforms,” Lawal stated. “All official updates regarding NSIPA Payments are communicated exclusively through our verified communication channels and the traditional media.”

Lawal reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the effective delivery of social investment programmes nationwide.
“Should you have any doubts or require verification of any claims, please contact us directly through our official platforms,” he advised.
NSIPA called on all Nigerians to remain vigilant, verify information from credible sources, and report suspicious communications.
