The North-West Youth Forum has endorsed Sen. Abdul’aziz Yari (APC–Zamfara West) to be the next National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to succeed Dr Abdullahi Ganduje.
The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Shaaya’u Sarkinfawa, disclosed this in a statement issued in Gusau on Sunday. According to him, Yari deserves to be the next National Chairman of the APC, considering his political capacity and experience.
“The group under my leadership has declared Yari to be the next option for the APC, based on his capacity to deliver the mandate of the party in the 2027 general elections,” he said.
Sarkinfawa added that Yari deserved to be the National Chairman of the APC, being a founding father of the party and a two-term Governor of Zamfara State.
“Yari, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), has the capacity to lead the party, having exemplified remarkable leadership.
“Our decision to adopt Sen. Yari as the next APC National Chairman is based on his track record, credibility, and integrity.
“Our great party, the APC, deserves a leader like Yarisomeone capable of bringing positive change through his ideas of democratic development and transformation,” he explained.
Sarkinfawa said the group, therefore, considered Yari as the best option to lead the party.
“On behalf of various political groups across the country under our platform, we are appealing to our able President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to consider Yari from the North-West to be the new APC National Chairman,” he said.
