Nigerian Army, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, has hailed the promotion of four senior officers to the rank of Brigadier General as a well-deserved recognition of their individual excellence and a testament to the enduring strength of the Nigerian Army.

He made the remarks during a formal decoration ceremony at the Eagle Officers’ Mess, where he honoured officers recently elevated from the rank of Colonel, noting that their promotion carries renewed responsibilities in leadership, professionalism, and national service.

According to a statement by Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 8 Division Nigerian Army, the GOC congratulated the officers and expressed confidence in their ability to justify the trust placed in them through disciplined command and operational excellence.

“I am immensely proud of each of you. Your promotion is not only a recognition of your hard work and commitment, but also a reflection of the strength of the Nigerian Army,” he said.

“I would be honoured to serve alongside you anywhere in the future,” he added.

Major General Ajose also acknowledged the crucial role of family support in military careers, describing the families of the newly promoted officers as silent pillars whose sacrifices sustain operational effectiveness and morale.
