Nigeria is set to attract new international investment into the mining, energy and infrastructure sectors as the maiden Nigeria NOW! Global Investors Expo holds in Abuja on 19 and 20 November 2026.
The two-day event is expected to attract between 500 and 600 investors, financiers, project developers and government representatives from Nigeria and abroad.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr Dele Alake, said the expo supports the Federal Government’s efforts to transform the mining industry from the export of raw minerals to processing, manufacturing and value addition.
Alake, who was represented at the launch in Abuja by the Director-General of the Mining Cadastre Office, Engr Obadiah Simon Nkom, said achieving the transformation would require long-term investment, modern technology and responsible investors.
He urged prospective investors to comply with Nigerian laws, protect host communities and the environment, and maintain transparent dealings with government.

The minister noted that the participation of the Ministries of Industry, Trade and Investment; Power; Petroleum Resources; and Solid Minerals Development reflected the broad range of investment opportunities available in the country.
He added that state governments would use the platform to present viable projects, infrastructure requirements and potential investment partnerships to domestic and international investors.
Speaking on behalf of EnergyNet, the Portfolio Manager and Head of Corporate Development, Abdoulaye Sylla, said the expo would give investors an opportunity to engage directly with government officials and project developers.
Sylla said the initiative followed extensive market research showing Nigeria’s growing potential to attract foreign direct investment, particularly in strategic infrastructure and multilateral initiatives such as Mission 300.
He said EnergyNet expected between 500 and 600 delegates at the inaugural event and planned to establish the expo as an annual investment platform in Nigeria.
The event will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
The Youth Energy Summit Nigeria will also be held alongside the expo, with discussions focusing on youth participation in the country’s Energy Transition Plan and Nigeria’s ambition to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060.
