The Nigerian Government has introduced a Single Window Trade Facilitation Portal designed to serve as a one-stop digital platform for all import and export activities in Nigeria.
The new system will enable importers and exporters to comply with trade regulations, submit required documents, and obtain permits through a unified platform, eliminating the need to engage multiple agencies.
According to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, which is spearheading the initiative, the Single Window will simplify documentation procedures, accelerate customs clearance, and minimise delays at ports.
The government said the platform would also reduce bureaucracy, enhance transparency, and boost efficiency key factors expected to strengthen Nigeria’s global trade competitiveness.
Officials added that the initiative aligns with the administration’s broader strategy to leverage technology and policy reforms to drive economic transformation and improve the country’s standing in international markets.
