Nigeria has extended warm congratulations to the Republic of Botswana as the southern African nation marks another year of independence.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Mr Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, praised Botswana’s enduring legacy of peace, democracy, and socio-economic progress.

Ambassador Tuggar reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Botswana in areas such as trade, education, governance, innovation, and continental integration under the African Union and other multilateral frameworks.
He also commended Botswana’s steadfast commitment to good governance, sustainable development, and regional stability, expressing optimism for enhanced collaboration in the years ahead.
