Catholics in Ghana gathered on Friday evening at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra for a solemn requiem mass in honour of Pope Francis.
The service brought together members of the Catholic community, who constitute around 10 percent of the population in the predominantly Christian West African nation. The mass included prayers and reflections on the Pope’s leadership and legacy, offering the faithful a time of reverence and remembrance.
George Amponsah Duodu, a member of the Catholic fraternity Knights of St John International, expressed being deeply moved by Pope Francis’ unwavering prayers for peace around the world.
