A member of the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu (APC–Zamfara), has awarded scholarships worth ₦15.2 million to 508 students of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, Zamfara State.
The presentation took place on Saturday at his constituency office in Bungudu. Represented by the Chairman of his Scholarship Committee, Mallam Muhammad Adamu, Zubairu said the initiative was part of his commitment to supporting education, particularly for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
“The 508 beneficiaries are indigenes of Bungudu and Maru Local Government Areas who are currently studying various courses at Abdu Gusau Polytechnic in Talata Mafara Local Government Area,” he said.
“Each beneficiary has received ₦30,000 as scholarship grants.
“The gesture is aimed at supporting students from less privileged families, who are finding it difficult to pay their school fees,” he added.

Zubairu stated that the support was intended to enable the students complete their studies and contribute meaningfully to the development of Zamfara State and the country at large.
