The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has disowned a fake online promotion form circulating on media platforms and has warned civil servants to disregard it.
Prof Tunji Olaopa, Chairman of the Commission, issued the warning in a statement released by Mr Taiwo Hassan, the Public Relations Officer of the Commission, on Sunday in Abuja.
Olaopa stated that the form and its associated link did not originate from the Commission.
“The Commission has a well-structured system guided by public service rules for conducting its promotion exercises,” he said.
He, however, referenced the Commission’s official circular No: FC.6243l GOV I 2025 I VOL I I L, issued on 12 May 2025, as the only valid guideline for this year’s promotion process.

The FCSC Chairman cautioned members of the public against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment syndicates and racketeers.
“Any change to the Commission’s promotion process will be duly communicated to Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and published on the Commission’s official website,” Olaopa explained.
He advised civil servants to rely solely on the Commission’s website: www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng for verified information.
