Chelsea completed a remarkable comeback to defeat Real Betis 4-1 in the UEFA Conference League final held at Wrocław Stadium, Poland, on Wednesday, 28 May 2025.
Real Betis took an early lead in the ninth minute through Abde Ezzalzouli. However, Chelsea fought back strongly in the second half, with Cole Palmer playing a key role in turning the game around.
Palmer set up Enzo Fernández to equalise in the 65th minute before assisting Nicolas Jackson five minutes later to give Chelsea the lead. Substitute Jadon Sancho then extended the lead, and Moisés Caicedo sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal.

This victory marks Chelsea’s first UEFA Conference League title and makes them the first club to have won all four major European competitions: the Champions League, Europa League, Cup Winners’ Cup, and now the Conference League.
Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, who took charge at the start of the season, secured his first major trophy with the club.
Cole Palmer’s performance earned him the Player of the Match award for his two crucial assists that helped shift the momentum in Chelsea’s favour.
The emphatic win not only secured silverware for Chelsea but also added a historic chapter to the club’s European legacy.
