The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the reopening of its 2025 recruitment portal starting Monday, July 21, 2025, following a brief suspension caused by overwhelming traffic.
In an official statement, the Board explained that the portal was temporarily shut down to upgrade and optimize the system for better performance and to accommodate the surge in applications.
Applicants who have successfully initiated their applications are advised to retrieve and complete the applications they have started,” the statement read.
The CDCFIB assured all prospective candidates that the application process remains completely free and warned against falling victim to fraudulent individuals or recruitment agents demanding payments.

The enhanced portal, accessible via https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, is now expected to function smoothly, allowing applicants to submit their details without technical glitches.
“We sincerely apologize for the earlier disruption,” the Board stated. “The system enhancement was essential to ensure a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process for all applicants.”
The recruitment drive covers paramilitary agencies under the CDCFIB, including:
-
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
-
Nigerian Correctional Service
-
Federal Fire Service
-
Nigerian Immigration Service
This announcement follows several days of concern from applicants after the portal was taken offline unexpectedly. The Board reiterated its commitment to a fair and efficient recruitment process and urged the public to remain vigilant against scammers.
