Bayelsa Queens have been crowned champions of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership for a record extending sixth time, following a resounding 4–1 victory over Naija Ratels in the final match of the 2024–25 NWFL Super Six.
The decisive fixture, held at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, saw the Yenagoa-based side put on a commanding display to seal the title. Star striker Vera Samuel stole the spotlight with a superb hat-trick, while Mega Cynthia added a fourth goal to confirm their dominance. Tumininu Adeshina scored the lone goal for Naija Ratels.

Bayelsa Queens finished top of the Super Six standings with 10 points from five matches, edging out strong competition from Edo Queens and Remo Stars Ladies. The victory marks their first league title since the 2021–22 season and adds to their growing legacy as one of Nigeria’s most successful women’s football clubs.
Under the guidance of head coach Whyte Ogbonda, the team showcased consistent form throughout the season, including an impressive 14-match unbeaten streak that solidified their championship credentials.
As winners of the league, Bayelsa Queens will now represent Nigeria in the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League, where they aim to make a strong impression on the continental stage.
