Air Peace has officially broken ground on its 34,000-square-metre Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Lagos, a landmark project expected to transform Nigeria’s aviation landscape.
The facility, described as world-class, will provide a central hub for aircraft maintenance, reducing reliance on foreign service providers and curbing capital flight.

Speaking at the ceremony, the airline said the project would not only enhance operational efficiency but also create jobs, boost technical expertise, and position Nigeria as Africa’s leading centre for aircraft maintenance.

Industry observers note that with this development, Air Peace is taking a strategic step towards self-sufficiency in fleet management while strengthening the country’s capacity to support regional and international aviation growth.
