President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has been elected President of the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B), a sub-regional body under the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Gusau’s emergence was confirmed during the WAFU B General Assembly held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. His election marks a significant leadership transition and positions him at the helm of football administration in the West African sub-region.

In his acceptance remarks, Gusau expressed gratitude to member nations for their confidence in his leadership and pledged to foster unity, development, and greater collaboration among the WAFU B member countries. He noted that his tenure would prioritise grassroots football development, increased competitiveness in regional tournaments, and stronger representation for the zone within CAF.
