The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Nasarawa State branch, has suspended its industrial action for two weeks to allow further negotiations with the state government over the implementation of a 51 per cent salary structure.
The state chairman of the union, Comrade Mas’ud Ubangari, announced the suspension while addressing members in Lafia.
Ubangari said the two-week suspension would enable the state government to establish a committee to examine the union’s outstanding demand for the implementation of the salary structure.
He commended members for their resilience and commitment to the struggle for improved working conditions, noting that the suspension followed positive developments from a reconciliation meeting convened by the state Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe.
