Organisers of The Headies have announced new dates for the 18th edition, with the ceremony postponed until April 2027.
According to a statement shared via the official Instagram page of the awards, @the_headies, the finale will now be held on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2027, in Toronto.
The organisers said the postponement is to allow for the expansion of the programme in Nigeria and Canada ahead of the Toronto finale.
The statement noted that activities for the Road to The Headies will continue during the original event period, with programme details to be announced through its official channels.
The organisers also apologised to guests who had already made travel plans and other arrangements, adding that further updates and guest information would be shared subsequently.
The announcement was captioned, “The road to the 18th Headies continues.”
