NFF Sacks Super Falcons Technical Crew

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed the entire technical crew of the Super Falcons with immediate effect following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The federation announced the decision on Monday, directing head coach Justine Madugu and other members of the coaching staff to step down.

The move followed the Super Falcons’ disappointing campaign at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and their failure to secure a place at the 2027 World Cup. Nigeria’s absence from the global tournament will be historic, as the team had previously qualified for every edition.

The NFF has not yet announced replacements for Madugu and the rest of the technical team. Reports indicate that the federation may consider bringing back former head coach Randy Waldrum.

The decision comes as the NFF faces pressure to review the team’s performance and strengthen its preparations for future international competitions.
