Pakistan Debunks Reports of Iranian Aircraft at Airbase

Pakistan on Tuesday rejected a media report alleging the presence of Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase for military purposes, calling the claims “misleading and sensationalised.”

Some aircraft and support personnel remained temporarily in Pakistan in anticipation of further engagements, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It added that diplomatic exchanges had continued in spite of the pause in formal negotiations, including visits by the Iranian foreign minister facilitated under existing logistical arrangements.

Pakistan strongly denied suggestions that the aircraft were linked to any military contingency or preservation arrangement, describing such assertions as speculative and detached from facts.

The statement reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting dialogue, de-escalation, regional peace and stability.
