The senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial District, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, has expressed profound gratitude to the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership in Katsina State for adopting him as the consensus candidate for the 2027 senatorial election.
Senator Yar’adua who described his endorsement as humbling, said the unanimous support from party stakeholders is a call to greater service and deeper responsibility to the people of the district.

Speaking shortly after receiving the party’s nod at a meeting held at the Government House, Katsina on Thursday, 30th April, to seek a second term in the Senate, Senator Yar’adua stated that the gesture, if renewed by the electorate, would position Katsina Central for ranking status in the National Assembly.
He explained that a second term would strengthen his capacity to attract greater federal presence, sponsor impactful legislation, and facilitate more developmental projects across the eleven local government areas in the senatorial district.
He stressed that experience and ranking in the Senate are critical to unlocking opportunities for constituents.
The Senator specially thanked the Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, leader of the party in the state, and the State APC Chairman, Dr. Bashir Gambo, for their fatherly role in ensuring a rancour-free process.
He commended their commitment to internal democracy and unity within the party, noting that the peaceful consensus reflects the APC’s maturity in Katsina State and sets a worthy example for others.
To the people and electorate of Katsina Central, Senator Yar’adua expressed deep appreciation for their unwavering support, prayers, and encouragement since his first election.
He appealed for their continued trust and votes in the forthcoming election, pledging to remain a servant-leader who listens, engages, and delivers.
