Chief (Mrs) Osasu Igbinedion Ogwuche, Founder of The Osazu Show Foundation Africa and Chief Executive Officer of the TOS Group of Companies, has been recognised by Ranks Africa as one of Africa’s 100 Most Impactful People in 2025.
Ranks Africa is a pan-African media platform that celebrates leadership and innovation across governance, business, technology, philanthropy, and civil society. Its 100 Most Impactful People list highlights individuals whose work drives significant social, economic, and institutional transformation across the continent, reflecting growing attention to inclusive leadership, civic engagement, and sustainable development.
Over the past year, Mrs Ogwuche has championed efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic process, notably through her leadership on the Reserved Seats for Women Bill.
As Convener of the National Advocacy Coalition, she elevated women’s representation from a legislative proposal to a national priority, positioning the bill as a crucial step toward more inclusive governance.
According to a statement from the TOS Media Office, Mrs Ogwuche’s initiatives have united lawmakers across party lines, alongside traditional and religious leaders, demonstrating that broader political inclusion fosters public trust and stronger institutions.
“Alongside political reform, her work has focused on improving the social and economic conditions that shape women’s lives. Through the Shift the Needle Campaign, Osasu has supported state-level advocacy for increased domestic funding for family planning and reproductive health. Anchored by a practical advocacy toolkit designed for First Ladies of Nigerian states, the campaign equipped leaders with data, clear policy guidance, and simple messaging tools to connect reproductive health to maternal survival, girls’ education, household stability, and economic productivity. This approach helped frame family planning not just as a health issue, but as a development priority that requires consistent political leadership,” the statement said.
Her commitment to inclusive governance is also evident in the development of 469Tracker, a civic technology platform supported by TOS Foundation Africa that enhances legislative transparency and citizen accountability by tracking the performance of elected officials and encouraging public engagement with democratic institutions.
The statement further noted: “Osasu’s work has been reinforced through her annual TOS Symposium, which provides a platform for dialogue and shared learning. Under her leadership, the Symposium has brought together policymakers, civil society leaders, development partners, and young people to address Nigeria’s demographic realities and the policy choices necessary to support inclusive growth. A consistent theme across her work is the belief that progress is strongest when decisions are informed by evidence, collaboration, and long-term planning.”
The TOS Foundation Africa is a pan-African non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing inclusive governance, gender equity, and citizen participation across the continent through policy advocacy and public education.
