The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed circulating social media reports alleging an attempted assassination of Lt. Ahmed Yerima, describing the claims as false and unverified.
SP Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, made the statement, saying, “No such incident has been reported or recorded anywhere within the Federal Capital Territory.” She urged the public to disregard the rumours and avoid sharing information that could create unnecessary panic.
