Moniya Dry Port: FG, Oyo State Partner on Development

The Federal Government and Oyo State have joined forces to advance the development of the Moniya Inland Dry Port, with the state officially handing over a Certificate of Occupancy for 90 hectares of land to support the strategic project.

The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, Olufemi Oloruntola, received the documents on behalf of the Federal Government, describing the gesture as a clear demonstration of partnership and shared vision between the Federal and State Governments to expand economic opportunities through modern trade.

In a statement issued by the Ministry’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Anastasia Ogbonna, Oloruntola said the Moniya Inland Dry Port would be a strategic national project, bringing shipping services closer to importers and exporters and stimulating industrial and agricultural growth across the South-West region.

Oyo State Deputy Governor Abdul-Raheem Lawal praised the Federal Government for its commitment to developing vital transport infrastructure nationwide, while reaffirming the state’s unwavering support for the project.
