Reps to Probe NECO over Alleged Extra-Budgetary Spending

Kano State has emerged as the top-performing state in the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO).

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa.

The governor attributed the impressive feat to the education reforms and sustained investment in the sector by his administration.

According to him, in the results released by NECO, 68,159 candidates from Kano secured five credits and above, including English and Mathematics.

Yusuf assured that his administration would continue to prioritise the provision of free uniforms, furniture, and learning materials for pupils and students, as well as the rehabilitation of dilapidated classrooms.
