All is set for the formal unveiling of Nigeria’s hosting of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026, marking the official commencement of preparations for the global communications event.
According to the National Planning Committee (NPC) of WPRF Abuja 2026, chaired by Dr Suleiman Haruna, mnipr, the National Unveiling Ceremony will take place on Monday, 20th October 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Designed as a hybrid event, the unveiling aims to ensure flexibility, wider participation, and engagement with both local and international audiences — physically and virtually.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, will deliver the keynote address, while four other ministers will also speak at the event. They include:

The NPC has called on the media to give wide coverage to the unveiling, describing it as a “spectacular two-hour event” that will mark the beginning of Nigeria’s journey toward hosting the prestigious WPRF in 2026.
According to Dr Haruna, the event will also mark the commencement of Early Bird Registration, featuring special discounts for delegates and opportunities for sponsorship drives both locally and internationally.
He expressed confidence that the unveiling will place WPRF Abuja 2026 on the global map, attract international attention, and reaffirm Nigeria’s readiness to host a world-class event.
The National Planning Committee, comprising leading figures in the public relations and communication sector, was established by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) the official host of WPRF 2026.
